Hi! My name is Emilia Öfverström and I am a third year student at Hanken majoring in marketing. This year I am responsible for academic affairs on the SHS executive board. This means that I am one of the board’s two external lobbyists who keep in touch with our external stakeholders. What this means is that my job is to ensure that SHS’s voice is heard in society and that the interests of our members are advocated for also outside of Hanken. The stakeholders I have the most contact with are the National Union of University Students in Finland, World Student Capital and the Finnish Student Sports Association. This year Finland has the parliamentary election, and one of my main tasks this year is to work for issues related to that! I am also the president of the Advocacy Committee (IBU, in Swedish) which supports the advocacy work of SHS.
