The meeting was opened at 10:00 by chairman Ruokonen

Notification matters:

The following matters were addressed at the meeting:

Two representatives were elected to the Hanken and SHS framework agreement revision group.
The Board selected a winner of the Lecturer of the Year 2022 on the basis of votes and justifications.
Representatives for Teknologföreningens Annual Ball was chosen

Other matters:

It has come to our attention that Soc&kom and HUS svenska ärenden is also organising an election debate
The regulations of the Marks & Scholarships Board need to be revised, the board will forward the matter to the full council
There is a need to create a sustainability strategy, to be discussed at the next council meeting

Had strategy day vol 3 with a focus on the annual clock and the implementation plan

Meeting with SSHV’s chairman Frans before the principal’s coffee
Meeting with the Secretary General regarding the dispute with the student union’s bank
Attended the SHSUF meeting
Gave a speech during the first day of International Helsinki Day
Weekly update meeting with the president of the student council Emma
Sent physical and electronic greetings to friend associations
Had a meeting with Beccy together with the council’s presidium – preparations for the meeting and after party
Matters and meeting surrounding the Marks and Scholarship Board

Hanken

External parties:

Presented SHS to the management of the student organization for BI Norwegian Business School together with Beccy
Attended NIORD training
Met and had a meeting with StudOrg’s chairperson regarding cooperation in the coming year
Contact with TuKy’s chairperson regarding the pikkulaskiainen
Matters regarding SESS and IB
Matters surrounding the student leadership seminar
Sent anniversary greetings to friend associations we cannot attend

Axel Anderson

Participated at the student union fair with the Education committee
Participated in meeting with the HaBa (possible english speaking bachelor’s programme) task force regarding
Meeting with Theresa (responsible for educational affairs at SSHV) to stay up to date with what’s happening at both campuses
Meeting with Emilia and Frida to stay up to date with internal and external advocacy
Continued with recruiting students to a workshop for the national auditing of Hanken
Meeting with the student council presidium and Frida regarding common program for the student council and the education committee during SHS wellness week
Compiled the results for the voting on “lecturer of the year 2022”

Emilia Öfverström

Participated and organized materials for the student union fair with the Advocacy committee
Meeting with Axel and Frida to keep up to speed with internal and external advocacy
Election debate meeting with gensek to contact candidates – all parties contacted
Meeting with IK president and vice president on event highlighting the OLL (The Finnish student sports association) election campaign
Attended meeting with World student capital
Held the second IBU meeting

Frida Winberg

Monthly meeting with the board president
Meeting with Axel and Emilia about internal and external advocacy
Attended the Hälsoarbetsgrupps-meeting
Meeting with the student council presidium and Axel regarding common program for the student council and the education committee during SHS wellness week
Planned events for the SHS wellneesweek
Continued the work with the equality survey

Pauliina Haarala

Meeting with gensek about our partnercontracts and how the system with them can be updated. Currently mapping potential companies and technical questions.
Participated and organised materials for the student union fair with the executive bord, Business Committee and Annuall Ball Committee
Meeting with Nestle about potential cooperation in the future
Used quite a lot of time on the annual ball still
Had a meeting with the Program Committee about sponsorships and the upcoming Hanken Fashion Night 2023
Weekly meeting with the Business Committee, currently we are working with new contracts and events and the välmåendevecka.
Had a meeting with Hanken about Hanken Network day 2023.

Organized and attended meeting with BISO General Manager, to discuss potential synergies and future meetings
Coordinated and finalized collecting SHS event dates for spring, in collaboration with committee presidents, the Student Council and the Board.

Ordered new durable tables for the banquet hall as previously there were not enough for larger events
Trained various committee members in the use of DJ and lighting equipment
Collected & distributed kår keys
Coordinated the booking calendar
Switch back tables with the hank with the help of various board members
