Are you the President of IHD, MC or INK 2022-2023?
Several positions of trust will be filled at the Student Council meeting Wednesday 27.4.2022 at 17.00! Join to affect what SHS 2022-2023 will look like!
The following positions of trust are open to apply for:
- President of International Helsinki Days 2022-2023
- President of Masters’ Committee 2022-2023
- President of Information Committee fall of 2022
Applications should be sent to ansokan@shs.fi at the latest on Thursday 21.4.2022 at 15.00. It is also possible to apply directly at the meeting 27.4.2022 at 17.00 without sending a written application.
Apply for President of International Helsinki Days 2022-2023
Do you want to lead the team that organizes the best week of the school year? Being the President of IHD 2022-2023 is a unique opportunity to lead and create a project for international students. You create your team and have the chance to fulfill your wishes for the week! The event is built from scratch and you are in charge of sponsoring contacts in the business world and international coordination.
The work encompasses that you will recruit a new team during the fall, after which you will primarily plan and arrange the program of the week. Here you will be responsible for looking over and leading your team to the best of your ability. During the spring, your time will be spent on executing the week’s different activities.
The week itself is all in all a relatively short period of time that will leave you with meaningful experience and knowledge. It is without a doubt challenging, time consuming and intense, but a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire new skills, friends and networks! Apply for President of Masters’ Committee 2022-2023
The Masters’ Committee is looking for a President for 2022-2023! Do you want to gain experience in leading an international team, learn to run meetings in English and organize both social and career events? Do you want to build your network and get to know the entire Student Union better? You can do all this and more as the President of MC!
MC has a special position, both welcoming new students as well as offering a farewell to the graduating ones, so it is a great opportunity to make an impact on the people around you – as well as getting to know the school and your classmates even better.
The Masters’ Committee’s official responsibilities are to represent all Master’s degree students (both Swedish-taught and English-taught students) and communicate interests of Master’s degree students to the administration of Hanken and to the Student Union. EC should promote social integration of new Master’s students and maintain the connection between international and Finnish Master’s degree students through organizing different types of events.

Apply to the President of the Information Committee fall of 2022
Do you want to learn everything about the responsibility to publish a magazine and other media projects within the Student Union? Do you want to learn what it is like to have the responsibility over a fantastic committee and the opportunity to guide them? Then you should apply to be the President of the Information Committee!
- Your biggest task is to lead the committee, but also to plan and develop the Student Union’s digital magazine Hankeiten and other media projects you want to engage in. The President has a big impact on what INK looks like.
- You will get experience and learn a lot of new things that can be valuable in your future career.
- Earlier experience of INK or the Student Union is not required but you should be interested in media.
- You can yourself choose how much time and effort you want to put in the committee, you can study and work without any problem.
- Apart from useful skills, you get a few really nice benefits, like free entrance to parties.
- Last but not least, as the President of INK you have a lot of responsibility but also a lot of freedom due to the fact that you are elected by the Student Council.
