Announcement of the SHS Student Council Elections 2023
The Student Council elections will be held from October 19th to October 20th with an electronic pre-voting starting October 16st until the 18th.
During the actual election days, you can vote electronically from October 19th at 12AM to October 20th at 4PM.
The electronic pre-voting will be held 16th of October at 12AM to 18th of October at 11.59PM.
The deadline for the registration period for candidates is September 26th at 4PM, when all candidate lists must be signed and submitted electronically in a PDF file to kansli@shs.fi.
You can also find the official electoral register, which is a list of all the registered students who may run as a candidate/ or vote in the Student Council elections this year, on the Student Union web page. If you are unsure if you are registered; please check if you are on the list. If you suspect an error in the electoral register, please contact the President of the Central Election Commission, Jenni Nihtilä (jenni.nihtila@shs.fi), no later than October 3rd at 12PM.
The candidates who wish to join an electoral alliance and the electoral alliances who wish to join an electoral ring shall submit a notification to the President of the Central Election Commission, Jenni Nihtilä (jenni.nihtila@shs.fi), or to the election commission in Vasa no later than October 3rd at 4PM, after which the candidate lists are published.
