Become a Buddy!
Do you want to engage in international context during your studies at Hanken?
Are you interested in getting to know exchange students from all over the world?
Do you like to socialize and to learn about different cultures, and maybe even get a chance to improve your language skills?
If you answered yes to these questions, then YOU should definitely become a Buddy!
As a Buddy for one or several exchange students, you will get the chance to get to know new people from all over the world. There are exchange students from Europe, Asia, Canada, Mexico, and Australia. In other words, there is a huge potential to learn about different cultures and languages in a fun and relaxed way, since you will be spending time with them both in school and during your free time while doing things that you enjoy.
The Buddy Program is organized by the Exchange Committee (EC), which is the committee that holds the main responsibility for the exchange students’ integration into Hanken and our student union, and of course, feels comfortable in Finland and the Finnish culture in general. We would like to invite you to join us on this mission and to have a great time while doing so.
EC will organize many different events for the exchange students during the Autumn semester. Examples of the events we usually organize are a pub crawl, a game night, and a hike in Nuuksio national park. Join our events, have lunch together, or grab a coffee. How much time you spend together and what you do is up to you to decide.
