Apply for SESS grants!

Are you studying at Hanken and have an idea that can benefit fellow students or
contribute to the community? The Swedish Economy Students’ Foundation (SESS)
awards grants for initiatives that strengthen student life!

What can you apply for grants for?

SESS prioritizes applications that benefit several people or have a public benefit
purpose. In the past, we have supported everything from crayfish parties to the
purchase of common equipment for student life. On average, we grant €500 per
occasion. Please note that we do not award grants for exchange studies or general
studies.

This is how you apply:

  • Send your application in PDF format to sess@shs.fi no later than 4.5 at 23:59
  • Describe who you are, the purpose of the application, the amount requested and
    how it will be used
  • Indicate if you have received support from other bodies
  • If the application is for a project, attach a budget and a project plan

The application period for the Spring 2025 is 24.3 – 4.5. After the application period, each applicant will be notified separately of the decision and grants awarded will be paid accordingly. Please note that the foundation requires reporting on the use of the grant afterwards.

Questions can be addressed to SESS’s chairperson at jesper.rajakangas@shs.fi
