Following positions of trust will be filled on the Student Council meeting April 10th at 6PM:
- President of Information Committee 2024
- President of International Helsinki Days 2024-2025
- President of Masters’ Committee 2024-2025
- President of Sports Committee 2024
- President of Annual Ball Committee 2024-2025
If you want your application to be sent to the Student Council before the meeting, send it latest April 4th at 12:00 PM (noon) to ansokan@shs.fi. The application can be in the form of a cover letter, but it is also possible to apply directly at the meeting without sending a written application. Apply for President of Information Committee 2024
Do you want to learn everything about the responsibility to publish the student union magazine, Hankeiten, as well as become part of many other interesting media projects? Do you want to learn how it is to have the responsibility over a fantastic committee and the opportunity to guide them? Then you should apply to be the president of the Information committee!
Your biggest task is to lead the committee, but also to plan and develop together all the media related projects that INK is involved in. You will get experience and learn a lot of new things that can be valuable in your future career and no earlier experience of INK is required. should be interested in media. Last but not least: as the President of INK you have a lot of responsibility but also a lot of freedom due to the fact that you are elected by the student council.

Apply for President of International Helsinki Days 2024-2025
Do you want to organise International Helsinki Days during the month of February 2025? International guests are invited to Helsinki during the IHD-week and the week consists of various seminars, company visits, case-solving and a lot of Finnish student life. The IHD team is the team behind the week. They are the ones who arrange the program, the seminars and teach the guests about the unique Finnish student life almost every evening. The guests stay with volunteer Hankeiter who act as hosts. Hosts can also attend most events. Traditionally, IHD also organizes a big sitz as the absolute highlight of the week. IHD is not only a chance to build contacts at Hanken and in business, but also to make international contacts and friends for life.

Apply for President of Masters’ Committee 2024-2025
It’s that time of the year, the Masters’ Committee is looking for a new president! MC has a special position, both welcoming new students as well as offering a farewell to the graduating ones, so it is a great opportunity to make an impact on the people around you – as well as getting to know the school and your classmates even better.
The Masters’ Committee’s official responsibilities:
– To represent both Swedish-taught and English-taught Master’s degree students
– To promote social integration of new Master’s students
– To communicate interests of the Master’s degree students to the administration of Hanken and to the Student Union, SHS
– To connect Master’s degree students to the corporate world
– To maintain the connection between international and Finnish Master’s degree students

Apply for President of Sports Committee 2024
Are you the new president for the Sports Committee (IK)? The Sports Committee organises fun and versatile sports related events and activities. The president is responsible for the committee’s activities, members and other tasks assigned by the student union.
The committee has during the years organised bigger events, such as Pinktober Charity Run and ice hockey games. Other smaller and more different sport events, such as carting, curling and beachvolley have also been organised by the Sports Committee. Do you have fresh, new ideas on how to upgrade the sports committee’s activities? Do you think something could improve? If you are interested in practising your organization skills and getting a lot of new friends, this is your chance!

Apply for President of Annual Ball Committee 2024-2025
Do you want to organise the best party in the universe together with your committee members? The Annual Ball Committee’s (ÅFK) main responsibility is to organise the Student Union’s annual ball the 24th of February, and are also responsible for organising the “Kårpampsmiddag” where people who previously have held positions of trust are invited, the official Executive Board skifte-dinner, as well as Curator and inspector skifte-dinners. In addition, the members of ÅFK act as the Student Union’s official marshals.
