Summary of the Executive Board’s meeting 01/2022

Place: SEB- Sanduddsgatan 7A, våning 2 & Microsoft Teams

Time: 13.1.2022 kl 10.00

Attending:

Emilia Winqvist, Ida Havunta, Anton Mattsson, Hampus Nordin, Jennifer Holmberg, Pia Blomqvist, Selma Lumio, William Sundell, Emma Lindvall, Elliott Tallqvist, Sinéad Obrey

The meeting was opened at 10:01 by chairman Winqvist 

The following matters were addressed at the meeting:

  • Elected a vice chairman.
  • Decided on areas of responsibility for all board members and elected a secondary for each board member.
  • Granted the right to sign documents on behalf of the student union to chairman Winqvist alone and jointly to  general secretary Obrey and vice chairman Havunta. Power of attorney was given to William Sundell to sign sponsorship agreements on behalf of the student union.
  • Rights to the student union bank account and the right to enter into a debit card agreement were given to chairman Winqvist and general secretary Obrey.
  • Decided to partially rent out Casa Academica to outsiders during 2022.
  • Determined that the Student Union Fair will be held on the 1st of February from 11-14:00.
  • Determined that the deadline for the Club Grant application to be submitted will be on the 6th of February at 23:59.
  • Hired a new financial and administrative secretary.
  • Decided to, effective immediately, cease renting out the following of the student union’s spaces: Femman, Legenda and Casa. The restriction will stay in effect until the 31st of January 2022. The student union spaces intended for meetings and other critical work will stay open.
  • To the following bodies representatives were elected:
    • Finlands Ekonomer General Assembly
    • Committee of Teaching Excellence
    • Hanken’s exam committee
    • Hanken’s disciplinary and ethical committee
    • Finnish Student Health Service’s working group Sibelius
    • The working group for Assurance of Learning
    • The directorate for the studies and admissions unit
    • The directorate for the research- and university service unit
    • The Student Sports Association
    • Hanken Sustainability Group.
  • Persons were elected to the following positions:
    • Head of the Clubs
    • Chairman of the President’s Committee
    • Two equality and harassment delegates
    • Chairman, vice chairman and two board members for Svenska Ekonomi Studenters Stiftelse’s (SESS) administrative council
    • President and vice president of SESS.
  • To the following positions and bodies the Board has decided on propositions to be presented to the Student Union Council:
    • Counselor to the Student Union
    • Members to the disciplinary council.

Notification matters

  • President of the Elders Council Eliott Tallqvist notified the Board that his door is open.
  • Boardmember Jennifer Holmberg notified the Board that she feels great excitement for the upcoming year and that she believes it will be “lit”. 

Board member’s activities

Emilia Winqvist

  • Reviewed through how the financial management works at SHS with Daniel
  • Recruited a curator, ekonsek and SHS disciplinary committee
  • Discussion with FM chairman about e.g. to follow up the board’s working hours
  • Had two meetings with SSHV’s chairman about the collaboration during 22
  • Responded to the FSF’s request for important themes for their election program
  • Attended Canon meetings and discussed the pandemic situation
  • Attended Hanken Sustainability meeting and thought about events
  • Discussion with Sinéad regarding how the collaboration should run in 22
  • Matters concerning the scholarship committee
  • Helped board members get started with their tasks
  • Fixed the last things for the transition on the communication side

Jennifer Holmberg

  • Gotten acquainted with the roles (Academic Affairs and Sustainability).
  • Kick-off with and planning meeting with the other student advocates (Pia and Ida). 
  • Planning of Instagram material about the upcoming county elections.
  • Submitted SYL’s questionnaire for our input on their election program regarding the parliamentary elections.
  • Attended Hanken Sustainability Group’s first meeting. 

Anton Mattsson

  • Gotten acquainted with the website and our admin-panel
  • Made new users (SHS- email adresses)
  • Collected materiall for the newsletter
  • Made new aliases and email – groups.

Ida Havunta

  • Planned and prepared material for the selection of Lecturer of the Year 2021. Voting begins on Monday the 17th of January.  
  • Written the Education Committee’s post for the newsletter (1/2022)
  • Established a date for the Education Committee’s first meeting
  • Kick-off meeting with the other student advocates Pia and Jennifer

Pia Blomqvist

  • Meeting with Clara Lumio regarding cooperation in 2022 between SHS & SSHV
  • The planning of Wellness Week has begun
  • Kick-off meeting with Jennifer and Ida
  • Initial planning for the meeting agenda for the gathering of the Hankeiternas Välmående Grupp
  • Review of the Social Affairs material and internal documents 
  • Preliminary plans for the Social Affairs strategy have been initiated 

Hampus Nordin

  • Gotten acquainted with the role Administration & Maintenance
  • Started collecting and giving out keys to the student union office
  • Gotten to know the booking system and Google Calendar
  • Started creating the cleaning schedule for the student union office

William Sundell

  • Had meetings with several companies regarding cooperation possibilities during 2022
  • Started preparations ahead of the first Company of the Week -event, which will be held together with Deloitte from the 24th of January to the 28th of January
  • Initiated the Business Committees operations and prepared the first meeting and schooling day
  • Worked on integrating data collection in the Business Committee operations

Selma Lumio

  • Attended training for my post with my predecessor
  • Attended a meeting with International Helsinki Days regarding their planning during the current circumstances with restrictions
  • Presented the function of the student association SHS for the exchanges students that just arrived, in connection with the Orientation Days for Hanken Exchange Students
  • Preparing and planning for the next president sub-committee meeting
