Summary of the Executive Board’s meeting 15/2021

Place: SEB- Sanduddsgatan 7A, våning 2 & Microsoft Teams

Time: 21.04.2021 at 10.00 am

The meeting was opened by Chairman Karlsson at 10.10  am

Attending:

Daniel Karlsson, Anton Nilsson, Emma Lindvall, Daniel Hasselström, Alexandra Eriksson, Sebastian Ståhlberg,Emilia Donner,Emilia Winqvist Kristiane Width

Notifications matters: 

  • Hasselström infomed that the crowning of Havis Amanda was done yesterday by SHS, 20.4.2021. The event was streamed in advanced by Yle, to follow the regulations and restrictions imposed by the Finnish government due to COVID-19

The following matters were addressed at the meeting:

  • Fanny Kesti was elected President for the Central Election Committee
  • Masters Committee was granted their application for project grant, in order to be able to host an event together with KY

Activities of the Executive Board:

  •  Recorded the celebrations regarding Havis Amanda

Daniel Karlsson

  • Put the student cap on Havis Amanda.
  • Participated in meeting with Hanken’s action group regarding guidelines for Covid-19.
  • Meeting with Yle regarding the celebrations around Vappu.
  • Meeting with AISEC-SHS and SESS’ President regarding the association’s future.
  • Participated in a webinarium where the article Eurostudent VII was published.

Emma Lindvall

  • Held the Advocacy Committee since Basse was at another meeting, we went through SHS’ comments written in December last year for the government’s Education policy report
  • The Education Committee had its 4th meeting this year, focus on including the new members but also general status update
  • Surveilled Hanken’s language exam
  • Participated in Hanken Campus Day as a commercial law student
  • Kopolive with focus on how what the fall will look like, discussion if universities should be able to require the use of camera during lectures and exams and general status update

Daniel Hasselström

  • Prepped and executed the lakitus of Havis Amanda on the 20.4 that Yle filmed and will stream on Vappuaattona  at 17:45-18:15 
  • Prep Meeting with Yle about the filming of Havis Amanda lakitus and what the stream will look like
  • Interview with HBL regarding a virtual Vappu
  • Interview with the Taidemuseo about the execution of the lakitus of Havis Amanda
  • Filmed a SHS Vappen greeting for all student unions in Finland that ÅAS will edit together into a common Vappu greeting
  • Filmed and prepped for the Vappen Stz

Emilia Winqvist

  • Handled media inquiries related to vappu
  • Helpend and participated in arrangements of vappen
  • Planned and helped with social media related things related to Vappen and Wellness week
  • Fixed material for campaigns with SYL
  • Got interviewed for Ylex3m morning show
  • Handled SHS social medias
  • Helped committees market their events

Emilia Donner

  • Filmed the crowning of Havis Amanda and prepared for it
  • Made marketing materials for vappen
  • Been in contact with vappen sponsors

Anton Nilsson

  • Vappen: helpt the team with logistics
  • Casa Kitchen: Green light from all the partners and I will now accept the offer for the renovation
  • Other facilities: Cleaning and small work are being done to improve them. 

Alexandra Eriksson

  • Equality updates on shs.fi
  • Participated in sopo-live
  • Talked about the studentloan warranty
  • Participated in Eurostudent
  • HOAS meeting
  • Wellnessweek coordination
  • Made some material
  • IBU briefing

Sebastian Ståhlberg

  • World Student Capital
    • Budget and economy
  • Municipal election
  • Webinar
    • Eurostudent

Other matters:

  • Winqvist proposes that the Executive Board should make changes to its vice responsibilities. Hasselström  who is responsible for Event and International Affairs has been vice for Nilsson, responsible for Administration and Maintenance and vice versa. Donner, responsible for Corporate Relations has been vice for Winqvist responsible for Communication and Sustainability and vice versa. The new vice posts would be Nilsson and Winqvist as well as Donner and Hasselström (Winqvist supports Hasselström)
