Summary of Student Council meeting 12/2019Place: The teacher’s room, Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki (Arkadiankatu 22) and room 106 Hanken School of Economics in Vaasa (Kirjastonkatu 16).

Student Council President Henna Konsti opened the meeting at 17:05
The following matters were addressed at the meeting:
Information and decision
The Executive Board accounted for their action
Establishment of the business plan for SHS 2020
The business plan is fully approved with language review
Student Union Fee 2020
The student council set the student fee for 125 €
Establishment of the Student Union’s budget for 2020
The student council approves the Student Union’s budget for 2020
Election of an expert member to the board of the Svenska Ekonomie Studenters Stiftelse
This matter has been dismissed because no applications for the post have been received.
Approval of the Equality Plan
The student council does not approve the equality plan as proposed by the Executive Board, but have started a working group, with the aim of making a revised version in the spring of 2020. The working group consists of: Alina Anderson, Nicolina Massa, Christian Nygård, one of the two equal equality ombudsmen who sit on the Executive Board 2020 and FU from the Executive Board 2020. The working group will update the student council at its first meeting of 2020.
Approval of the Emergency Communication Plan
The student council rejects the Emergency Communication Plan, but chooses to establish a crisis communication plan working group. The working group consists of: the president of the Executive Board 2020, Communications responsible 2020, Lydia Nystén, Felix Anderson, Nicolina Massa and Melina Weckman.
Extension of the Communication Plan
The student council approves the extension of the communication plan
Other matters
Member Weckman proposes that SU in the future would send its suggestions and comments before the student council has a meeting / evening school
Konsti informs that the next student council meeting will be on Wednesday the 29.1.2020 at 17:00 or on Thursday the 30.1.2020 at 17:00
Konsti asks if the student council wants to change the times of the meetings to earlier during the day.
Lindén thanks the student council and wishes everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
