Freshman Committee

The purpose of the Freshman Committee is to welcome, introduce and integrate the new Bachelor students each fall. The committee is maybe better known by the name Gekko, and consists of 22-26 tutors plus the President and the VP.

A tutor of Gekko has mainly two tasks: to (1) support the freshmen in study-related errands and (2) to introduce the freshmen to the studying life by acting as a link between the Student Union and the freshmen.

The committee offers the freshmen lots of various program during the autumn that includes everything between study circles to parties. The “freshman autumn” begins with the introduction days, and culminates in the legendary “halarutdelningen” (the overall party), during which the freshmen get their well-deserved white overall.
