Join us for an experience to remember!

Base Camp brings together ~20 inspiring students, coaches, and consultants for a day full of fun, learning and socializing. Investing in our people is one of our core values, and we want to give you a chance to get a glimpse of what this means at McKinsey.

During the day, you will also get acquainted with our work by solving an interesting problem as
a team, with a consultant guiding you through the journey. Our warm and inclusive community is something we take pride in, and we are excited to welcome you to get a sense of it!

How to apply
Base Camp 2021 is open to all students in their second or later year of studies at Finnish universities. To join the event, please apply here by Sunday, September 19. To complete your application please attach your CV, high school and university transcripts, and a short letter answering the question “What are you proud of?” (max. 250 words).

In honour of World Food Day that takes part October 16th we will celebrate at Casa with a movie and pizza on Wednesday 13th of October at 17:30.  Join us in a laidback evening with a documentary about the food production. We will have a light dinner together and watch the movie and afterwards a discussion. There are a limited amount of spots, so sign up already today! Autumn is here, the weather is chilly, the days are darker and school is a bit too much. Why not put on your overall, take some friends with you and join us at the legendary facility at Casa, namely Legenda! 

This is the first Basement Night of many that will occur this fall! The event costs 10 € and the price includes admission, drinks, snacks, and program. You register to the event through the Google forms that will be published here in the event on: 08.10.2021 kl.12:00.

What can you expect? An evening with old and new acquaintances! Music, mingling and refilling of your glass every time it runs out. As program there will beer pong tournament and other drinking games. So put on your overall, if you do not have an overall, put-on some comfortable clothes! 

The event will take place on 13.10.2021 at 19.30 to 00.30 at Legenda. The event is only for members of SHS studentunion.

On behalf of the President, the Student Council of SHS will convene to meet October 20th at 5PM. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format in Auditorium Maximum at Hanken in Helsinki and in room V105/V106 at Hanken i Vaasa as well as on the meeting platform Microsoft Teams.

Matters discussed at the meeting will include:

• Approval of SHS Communicationplan 2021-2024
• Approval of the Medium- Term Financial Plan for the Student Union
• Electing student representatives to Hanken’s Executive Board
• Electing student representative to the SHS Disciplinary Board
