Apply to the Annual Ball Committee!
Are you looking for new exciting challenges, a great sense of community, and an interesting project to work on? Are you a true team player who enjoys taking responsibility and seeing the results of your work? And are you interested in organizing the 118th Annual Ball of SHS? Then you should take this opportunity and apply to join the Annual Ball Committee!
The Annual Ball Committee (ÅFK) is a group whose main responsibility is to organize the Best Party in the Universe – the SHS Annual Ball on February 24th. ÅFK also organizes smaller events during the year, such as the Chairperson’s Dinner in the spring, as well as possible handover dinners for positions such as Curator and Inspector.
The committee is selected during May, and the work begins immediately, gradually increasing in intensity as the Annual Ball approaches. You will become part of an amazing team while also taking part in organizing one of the highlights of the year. Depending on your interests, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as sales, planning, and marketing.
To apply for ÅFK, you should submit a free-form application. Your application can be in any format. Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you would be a good fit for ÅFK. Remember to include your contact information as well.
Applications should be sent to alice.fahlen@shs.fi no later than May 21st, 2026 at 18:00. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis as applications are received, and the committee will then be finalized.
