Apply for President of the Annual Ball Committee 2022-2023!
Do you like challenges, working in a team and organizing events?
The Annual Ball Committee (ÅFK) is now in search of a committee president for the mandated year 2023-2023! The kårvärd/kårvärdinna (president of ÅFK) will work intensively together with their Annual Ball Committee to organize SHS annual ball the 24th of February every year. If you’re responsible and driven with a good knowledge of coordinating and working with projects you shouldn’t hesitate to apply! When serving in this position you’ll evolve and grow as a leader, deepen your knowledge of delegating, budgeting and project management and will get the chance to experience something incredibly beautiful together with your committee. Furthermore this position will teach you new things about creativity, innovative thinking and problem-solving. Your task will be to during the summer recruit your committee and during the late summer begin the preparations for SHS 114th Annual Ball. The Annual Ball, also known as “the best party in the universe”, is SHS biggest and most glamorous event with around 450 guests from around Finland, other Nordic countries and SHS. The Annual Ball Committee is also responsible for organizing some smaller events such as the “kårpampsmiddag” and “styrelseskifte”. This position requries fluent Swedish.
Please send your application to ansokan@shs.fi no later than by Friday 20.5 at 15:00. Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you in particular would be a good fit as president of the committee. The student council will interview all candidates at the next student council meeting, Tuesday 24.5 at 17:30. As per usual everyone has the chance to indicate themselves for the position beforehand without sending in an application.
