Recruitment
Have a say in your education – apply to be a student representative on Hanken’s University Collegium!
Would you like to represent students’ interests at Hanken? SHS is now looking for two student representatives to the University Collegium for a term ending on December 31, 2027—in other words, a perfect opportunity for anyone who wants to make a difference at the university! We are looking for:
- Two ordinary members (Vasa campus)
The University Council has 18 members, representing the various staff groups within the university as well as the students. Among other things, the Council is responsible for appointing Hanken’s external board members, the university’s auditors, and the academic councils. It approves the financial statements and grants discharge to the Board and the Rector.
As a student representative, you have the opportunity to directly influence your education. In addition, you’ll gain experience in meeting techniques and advocacy, the chance to expand your network within Hanken, and a position of trust to add to your resume. By actively participating in University Council meetings, you’ll also receive a €50 honorarium per meeting.
In return, you are expected to attend the University Council meetings and the Education Committee meetings once or twice a month, keep the other student representatives informed about current issues, and be available to students who have questions or concerns regarding their education.
The term begins in September 2026, and ends on December 31, 2026. However, you are not required to serve the entire term. Send a free-form application to utbildningspolitik@shs.fi by Monday, June 15, 2026, at 23:59 PM. Please also mention if you are studying in Vasa. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Take this opportunity to make a difference!
