Operations Coordinator for the Economic Society of Finland
Would you like to contribute to developing the economic debate in Finland?
The Economic Society is looking for a part-time Operations Coordinator to handle practical tasks related to the Society’s events and its journal, as well as independently develop the Society’s communications and other activities. The coordinator also serves as the Society’s secretary.
We are looking for someone with a broad interest in economics and societal issues. You express yourself well, especially in writing, and are a proficient user of various communication channels (including web and social media). Attendance is required at member meetings, board meetings, and certain other events, but most of the work can be carried out flexibly and independently.
The position is part-time, and both the workload (20–40%) and salary are negotiable. The role is well suited to be combined with studies, and the employment begins on 1 September 2026.
The Economic Society of Finland was founded in 1894 to promote high-quality economic debate for a broad audience. Each year, we organize several events on current economic topics and publish the Society’s journal. The overall direction of the Society’s activities is set by the board, but the Operations Coordinator must be able to plan, prioritize, and act independently. An interest in economic issues is required.
