What does “student housing” mean?
Isabella is a student housing building owned by Hanken. The building has been constructed by a non-profit entity with a state-subsidized loan (ARA), which means that:
- Rents are generally lower than on the open market
- The housing company does not aim to make a profit, but only to cover costs over a longer period (30–40 years)
- The purpose of the housing in Isabella (Busholmen) and in Majsporten and Majstången (Arabianranta) is to provide accommodation for Hanken degree students
