Freshers Committee is recruiting tutors for 2025!
Do you want to create something amazing and unique at SHS and experience a “gulishöst” again, but with a little “twist”? Are you social, ready for new challenges, want to get to know new people and create memories for life together with a group of amazing tutors? Then Freshers Committee is something for you! For the second time ever, the newly established Freshers Committee is looking for tutors for autumn 2025. As a tutor, you will have the honour of introducing the new English-speaking freshers to SHS, Hanken and the best student life in Finland! FC has as close co-operation with Gekko and both committees have the same main task of welcoming the new freshers. As a tutor in FC, your main task is to support and help the new freshers, organise events and have fun. FC combines the best of Gekko and EC! You will have a great opportunity to take part in joint activities and create brand new events! Doesn’t that sound like fun? Being a tutor is a somewhat time-consuming but an honourable task that is appreciated by everyone, especially the freshers. Please note that you can apply to both Freshers and Gekko or to either one, the decision is up to you. Mention to which committee(s) you’re applying for in your application.
The application opens on the 20th of March and applications are submitted by email to tutoransokan@shs.fi. Please submit your application no later than 30th of March at 23:59. Please note that this position requires English skills. The application can be written in a free-form, but keep it short and concise. Send it in a pdf-format and name it lastname.firstname.pdf. I also wish that the following is included in the application:
- If you are applying to Freshers only or also Gekko
- A picture of yourself
- Contact information (email and phone number)
- Describe yourself briefly and what makes you a good tutor
- Your best event idea for Freshers Committee
- A fun fact about you !
Information regarding your application will be sent to the email address you sent your application from, so be sure to read it regularly! We will start the interviews on the 31st of March. You will receive more information about the interview after we receive your application. All candidates are invited to an interview.
