Summary of the Executive Board’s meeting 01/2025

The meeting was opened by Chairperson Portin at 10:00

Matters to be reported: 

Nothing

The board discussed and decided on the following items during the meeting:

  • Elected the vice-chairperson of the board.
  • Decided on the responsibilities of all members of the Board, and elected vice-presidents for all responsibilities
  • Granted authorisation to sign the Student Union’s sponsorship agreement to Business Committee president Anttonen
  • Granted bank account access and the right to enter into agreements on bank cards to Chairperson Portin, and revoked the corresponding rights from the former chairperson Eriksson.
  • Granted banking rights to SHS Secretary General.
  • Chairperson Portin and Secretary General Granqvist to enter into agreements for a bank card linked to the Student Union’s account.
  • Decided on the letting of Casa premises to external parties.
  • Set the date for the spring Student Student union Fair: 29.01.2025.
  • Determined the announcement (20th January 2025) and deadline (31st January 2025 at 11:59 PM) for club grant applications.
  • Three new members of the SESS Administrative Council and a Vice-Chair and Chair
  • Appointed representatives for annual celebrations.

  • Training with predecessor Eriksson on Presidency, stakeholders & financial management
  • Prepared for the first meeting

Antar Mountassir

  • Onboarding with their representative
  • Scheduled meeting with SSHV Felix 
  • Planning when to apply the consolation prize for first year students
  • Familiarised myself with the Education Policy Statement

Viktor Byskata

  • Onboarding with predecessors
  • Opened and marketed recruitment to The Advocacy Committee
  • Familiarised myself with the task, read through the experiences of previous generations
  • Start planning for the 2025 elections

Kaisa Rantonen

  • Training with predecessors and planning a meeting with the predecessor’s predecessors
  • Started planning the wellbeing month
  • Attended the first unofficial meeting of the Board

Johannes Anttonen

  • Training with predecessor Jesper on the tasks of the Business Development Officer and the Business Committee
  • Recruited for the Business Committee
  • Started planning upcoming events
  • Had a meeting with Deloitte

Vilma Runeberg

  • Training with representative Linn on the tasks of the event responsible and on the tasks of the chairman committee and club manager. 
  • Booked various meetings regarding the vappen
  • Familiarised herself with her post
  • Started planning the Ordförandeutskottets first meeting, the union fair and the union 101 training for the new student union members

Max Rehell

  • Training with representatives regarding various tasks in the building
  • Took over the booking calendar
  • Contacted KSO
  • Liaised with the Ylonz team

Mirjam Wadenström

  • Created SHS email addresses for student union activists
  • Updated email alerts
  • Contacted printers and started ordering merch
  • Managed @shsmoments on Instagram
