Run for a seat on the Student Council
The Student Council elections will be held from October 17th to October 18th with an electronic pre-voting starting October 14th until the 16th.
During the actual election days, you can vote electronically from October 17th at 12AM to October 18th at 4PM.
The electronic pre-voting will be held 14th of October at 12AM to 16th of October at 11.59PM.
The deadline for the registration period for candidates is September 24th at 4PM, when all candidate lists must be signed and submitted electronically in a PDF file to kansli@shs.fi.
You can also find the official electoral register, which is a list of all the registered students who may run as a candidate/ or vote in the Student Council elections this year, on the Student Union web page. If you are unsure if you are registered; please check if you are on the list. If you suspect an error in the electoral register, please contact the President of the Central Election Commission, Alma Portin (alma.portin@shs.fi), no later than September 30th at 12 PM.
The candidates who wish to join an electoral alliance and the electoral alliances who wish to join an electoral ring shall submit a notification to the President of the Central Election Commission, Alma Portin (alma.portin@shs.fi), or to the election commission in Vasa no later than September 30th at 16 PM, after which the candidate lists are published.
