Distance Technologies is seeking an Office Manager to join their team in Helsinki. In this role, you will ensure the smooth daily operations of a growing work community of approximately 20 employees, oversee successful internal and external events, and ensure a pleasant experience for our visiting partners. Additionally, you will occasionally assist with various administrative tasks and the onboarding of new employees. Your contribution will be key in elevating the work environment, team spirit, and overall employee satisfaction to the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement of office supplies, event needs, and similar items
- Collaboration with office and property stakeholders, such as cleaning services, maintenance, and reception
- Travel arrangements, including coordinating restaurant and hotel reservations
- Organizing internal and external events and meetings
- Handling and receiving mail
- Assisting with the onboarding and orientation of new employees
- Managing employee benefits and occasionally assisting with tasks related to the employment lifecycle
We Expect From You:
- Experience in a similar Office Manager role – we are particularly excited if you have worked in a fast-paced and international environment, such as a tech startup
- A well-developed understanding of excellent service providers, such as hotels, restaurants, and event organizers
- Excellent organizational skills, a positive impact on the work environment and people around you, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Fluency in both Finnish and English
- Willingness to travel – a Class B driver’s license is an advantage

Practical Details:
This permanent and full-time position will make you a direct employee of Distance Technologies. The office is located in Hakaniemi, Helsinki, and the role requires active on-site work. The salary for the position ranges between €4,000-€5,000 per month, depending on your experience, and will be negotiated individually. We also offer stock options as part of the employment offer. A security clearance may be conducted for the selected candidate in the future if required by the role.
