Tesseract Investment, a digital asset investment company based in Finland, is looking for a hands-on Controller in Helsinki. In this role, you’ll become a part of the operations team, consisting of legal, risk, and customer operations professionals. 

As a Controller at Tesseract, you will be reporting directly to the company’s COO in Finland. Your role is a combination of business and financial controlling, so your tasks will be diverse, including both the internal and external perspective of financial management and reporting. You will play a crucial role in supporting strategic decision-making and business success by providing analysis and reporting to senior management and other stakeholders. The typical tasks in the role will include:

• financial reporting: preparing and presenting monthly financial statements and cash flow analysis to senior management and other stakeholders
• budgeting and forecasting: developing and updating annual budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision making
• client reporting: preparing and distributing reports on the performance of the company’s loan & investment portfolios to clients
• financial process improvement: introducing enhancements and internal controls to further streamline and ensure the integrity of financial processes
• responsibility over the annual audits in coordination with the external accountant and auditor
• accounts payable and receivable: monthly invoicing of clients (crypto institutions), managing accounts payable and tax related matters (most tasks conducted by external accountant)

We hope you to have:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant positions, e.g. assistant controller, controller, or similar
• Relevant degree in accounting, financial management, business or similar
• Solid skills with MS Office tools, especially Excel and working with large amounts of data
• Attention to detail  and willingness to work with a broad range of tasks
• Great collaboration and problem solving skills. You’re capable of working both independently and as part of a team
• Full working proficiency in English

Practicalities: 

In this fulltime and permanent position you will be employed directly to Tesseract Investment. The start time in the role is as soon as possible. We hope you have availability to work the majority of the time at the Helsinki office. The initial salary level for the position is 4000-4500€/month and will be negotiated based on your skills and experience. On top of your salary Tesseract also offers a stock option plan.
