SEB’s division Large Corporates and Financial Institutions (LC&FI) offers talented students an exciting opportunity to work with banking and finance during the summer. As an intern, you will be involved in our daily business activities and have a great opportunity to learn about banking and gain a thorough understanding of SEB’s business in Finland and abroad. The LC&FI Summer Internship is SEB’s global internship program and includes an introduction week in Stockholm. We have two positions in Finland for the summer 2024: FICC Markets and Client Portfolio Management Office
About the role
FICC Markets
As a summer intern in FX Sales, you will be part of a professional and dynamic FX team serving SEB’s large corporate and financial institutions clientele in Finland. You will be supporting the team in their daily activities and sales efforts. Your main product area responsibility will be foreign exchange, but you will be working part of the summer with risk advisory related projects. You will have the possibility to learn about a wide range of financial products and services and be well positioned to thoroughly understand the corporate and institutional banking from a financial markets standpoint. Cross collaboration and interaction with key internal and external stakeholders is essential.
Client Portfolio Management Office
At our Client & Credit Management team, we work mainly with the Helsinki based Large Corporates and Financial Institutions Coverage teams on clients in various industries and sectors. In addition, we have close cooperation with the approving credit organization, credit analysts, various product areas, colleagues at other SEB sites and our own global Client & Credit Management team. At SEB we are all team players and work tightly together to form the best service for our customers. The position will give you a great overview of our clients and their relationship with the bank.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have: FICC Markets
- Curious and energetic attitude, and natural interest towards financial markets and banking
- Excellent social and collaboration skills
- Great communication skills, both written and spoken, in Finnish and English
- Analytical skills combined with a good knowledge of excel and preferably VBA
- Previous experience in financial markets, particularly FX products is considered an advantage, but not a necessity
Client Portfolio Management Office
- Analytical skills and knowledge to handle complex information
- Sense of initiative and proactivity
- Great communication skills and fluency in Finnish and English
An ideal candidate is studying towards an academic degree. Previous experience in accounting or other finance- related areas is seen as an advantage.
