The Education Council and the Academic Council are looking for student representatives!
Please note that these positions require fluent skills in Swedish!
Do you want to affect your studies and your education at Hanken? The Education Council, and therefore also the Academic Council, are looking for the following student representatives for the next term (1.1.2022-31.12.2024):
- Two regular representatives (Helsinki)
- A regular representative (Vasa)
- Two deputy representatives (Helsinki)
- A deputy representative (Vasa)
In short, the Education Council’s tasks are to develop and evaluate the education at Hanken, make decisions regarding the admission criteria for the bachelor’s- and master’s programs, made decisions regarding the approval of study plans and courses offered and to make decisions regarding the evaluation and approval of master’s theses.
As a student representative, you have the opportunity to affect your studies. Furthermore, you can develop your skills in meeting technique and student advocacy, the opportunity to expand your social network within Hanken and something to put on your resume.
In exchange, you are expected to participate in one to two meetings a month, inform the other student representatives of important matters and be there for other students who might have questions and thoughts about their studies. To apply for the department councils you should be a student of that department. As a student representative you are also a member of the Education Committee, which coordinates the work of the student representatives.
The commission of trust starts on 1.1.2022 and ends, at the latest, on 31.12.2024. Apply by sending an application to studier@shs.fi at the latest on Sunday 7.11.2021 at 23.59. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
