Did you know that you can apply for a project grant?

A committee, club or members of SHS can apply for a grant intended for projects from the Student Union. A project is defined, but not limited to a special event, something beyond the main operations or a separate project, can be granted funding given that the event or initiative is open for all Hanken students.

The grant has to be used for the expenses that the applicant applies for in the grant application. The Student Union will not grant for the following things: alcohol, overall patches, internal events and representation. Since the Student Union has its own websites and it is in the interest of the Student Union to centralise its operations, the Student Union will not grant money for maintaining other websites.

After the grant has been approved the grant is paid through Bezala. The financial part requires the  applicant to send his or her receipts to Bezala. When the receipts are sent, they need to be approved by the Executive Board. The sum of the receipt cannot be bigger than the grant amount. It is also important that the receipts are sent within a month of the purchase. Otherwise the receipts cannot be accepted and the applicant will not receive the grant. The grant must be used during the same semester as it is granted.

NOTE! For clubs: A project grant is not to be used as an extra club grant if a club has exceeded its club grant prior to the end of the term. However if you are a new club established after the Student Union fair, you can apply for a project grant to finance the term.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the SHS Executive Board member Filip Jägerroos at filip.jagerroos@shs.fi.
