Meeting Abstract of the Executive Board’s meeting 16/2019
Place: SEB, Sanduddsgatan 7A, II floor.

Andreas Lindén, Emilia Hattula, Nicolina Massa, Julius Tallqvist, Jerker Törnqvist, Ingrid Bärlund, Ellen Wulff
Absent: William Stjernberg
The Executive Board made decisions in the following matters during the meeting:
– Approved the proposal of new members to the Election Committee
– Approved the IB bookstore’s proposal of using SHS:s logo
– Opened up a substitute spot in the department council of finance
– Julius Tallqvist was appointed as student representative to the Committee of Teaching Excellence
– Processed matters of the forming of new clubs. The two clubs that applied for positions of forming clubs were not approved, because the required list of charters were not submitted in the applications.
– Postponed club grant applications, due to the deadline for grants is Friday September 20th 2019. The Executive Board will undertake all grant applications at the next meeting.
– Processed matters of project grant. Hankens Golfsällskap was granted 370 euros.

The Executive Board’s activities:
– The board has had its first strategy day of the fall. The main themes discussed were upcoming events and business plan for 2020.
Lindén
– has participated in SYLs executive seminar.
– Held inscription speeches at the Vaasa campus and in Helsinki
– Participated in Suomen Ekonomit Chairmen days in Helsinki, where the topic of discussion surrounded the organization’s renewed structure.
Massa
– Updated social media platforms with the start of the new school year
– Sent out the new SHS newsletter for the month of September
– Participated in SYL’s instagram takeover with Seceretary General Width
– Composed the manual for the student union clubs along with Bärlund
Törnqvist
– Installed the new ice machine in Casa
– Purchased 11 new tables to Casa
– Sent out the Casa- manual to all Club and Committee Presidents
– Met with light and fixture company to repair Casas sound system
Tallqvist
– Drafted the business plan for 2020
– Held a speech for the new Bachelor students during their introduction day
– Had meeting with the Pro rector, Sören Kock
Hattula
– Participated in Hankens wellness group meeting 20.8
– Participated in World Student Capital Board meeting 23.8
– Presented the student unions space to new exchange students
– Planned the wellness day and contacted organizations to part-take in the event
Bärlund
– Written the club manual along with Massa
– Organized the kick off event for Presidents of clubs and committees
– Participated in UNIFI event 13.9, along with board member Wulff, where discussions were held around sustainability at universities
Stjernberg
– Planned and had the first event of Company of the Weel
– Has had the first meeting with the overall team and activated the first sponsporships
Wulff
– Had meeting with SHS delegation in preparation for SYLs General Assembly scheduled for November
– Written and updated text about Academic Affairs for shs.fi
– Participated in UNIFIs seminar with Bärlund September 13th.
– Participated in Freshman intro days both in Helsinki and Vaasa
