As a Caruna summer intern, you can get involved in making everyday life at Caruna better. How would it be to spend a summer as a management assistant at Caruna, working on a wide range of tasks with great responsibility?
The summer internship as a management assistant gives you a glimpse of what everyday life is like as the right hand of a CEO and the management team. Your job description will be diverse and varied, ranging from administrative tasks and board work to assisting with events and running the day-to-day business. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the activities of the well-being team, if you so wish. In your day-to-day work, you will assist in areas such as scheduling and various reporting tasks, and you will be closely involved in the work of the management team and the board, from organising meetings and preparing materials to proofreading minutes. You will also get to coordinate materials for Caruna’s monthly information sessions. You will work closely with the Executive Assistant of the CEO and be in contact with the Owners’ Assistants, in addition to assisting other support functions where help is needed at any given time. During the summer, you will also get to cover for the Executive Assistant of the CEO during their summer holidays. You will receive a comprehensive introduction to your role and during the summer you will get a good idea of what everyday life as an Executive Assistant at Caruna is like and gain valuable skills for your future.
As a management assistant, you have a proactive approach and are willing to take on new tasks. Your work is thorough and precise and you strive for the best possible results. Because your work as an assistant also requires quick decisions and scheduling is an essential part of your everyday life, you have good prioritisation skills and you can keep your finger on the pulse even in changing situations. During the summer you will work with a variety of stakeholders, so you are positive, customer service-oriented and above all a team player, but also able to work and make decisions independently when necessary. Previous office experience would be an advantage as you will use a variety of office software such as MS Office, M-Files, Directors Desk and SharePoint in your daily work. However, we don’t expect you to be a complete expert yet, but most of all we appreciate a hands-on attitude, enthusiasm to learn new things and a genuine interest in learning about the varied tasks of an Executive Assistant!
We expect you to have:
- An educational background suitable for the role of a management assistant, e.g. Business Administration, from the first year onwards
- Fluent written and oral Finnish and English language skills.
- Proficiency in traditional office software and technical dexterity
- Good time management and prioritisation skills and a precise work manner
In addition, it is an advantage to have:
- Previous relevant experience, for example as an assistant or coordinator
Caruna offers you:
- A versatile, varied and inspiring job, where you will get to see what the everyday life of an executive assistant is like in practice.
- Ambitious goals to work towards: the mission of Caruna is to help society and its customers in the energy transition
- A position in an innovative company with the same values: courage, good energy and cooperation.
- The opportunity to learn from the best in the business, as Caruna has a huge pool of expertise when it comes to electricity distribution. Different backgrounds and skills naturally support each other, and pride is taken in our work – so at Caruna, you have great opportunities to make a difference and grow and develop professionally!
- A workplace that is also a good place to be – as proven by our success in the Great Place to Work and Vastuullinen kesäduuni competitions, among others!
- Good team spirit, low hierarchy, team-building events and plenty of shared leisure activities – for example, Caruna has a wide range of leisure groups open to all Caruna residents, from riding clubs to a floorball team and a house band.
- Versatile tools and premises with good transport connections in Leppävaara, Espoo. The office has a variety of spaces to suit many needs, such as louder collaboration, quieter concentration or relaxation in the middle of the day, for example at the gym.
The exact duration of the summer job is negotiable, but we hope that you could start at the beginning of May and continue working until the end of August. We hope that you will be able to work mainly on-site at Caruna’s offices during the summer – however, occasional remote working is also possible.
