Greetings from the President of the Student Union
Dear members of the Student Union,
I hope the summer has been relaxing and that you are as excited about the new semester as I am. On behalf of the entire board, I would like to welcome you back to Hanken and especially to the student union. At the same time, I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate our new students for your study place at Hanken and as members of the most fun student union in Finland.
The fall is filled with events and warm human encounters. This is a sign of the strong community that SHS has. Community is a supporting force that gives strength and energy in everyday life. Let us cherish it.
I am pleased that we can once again meet physically at both Hanken in Helsinki and Vaasa, but also at the Student Union. The Student Union should be a place for all of us, where we can find our support network and where we can make memories together.
The board has come back from their vacation already in the beginning of August and we can’t wait for you to see what all we have to offer you in the fall!
As the new semester kicks off, I want to give you some tips. Study time goes fast, so make the most of the precious study time you have. Participate in events, take part in traditions and above all take part in new challenges. However, I want to emphasize that remember not to be too hard on yourself. Feel your strength and remember to take one day at a time.
With these words, I and the board wish you good luck with the upcoming semester, welcome back and see you at Casa!
