Summary of the Executive Board’s meeting 15/2023

Place: SEB- Sanduddsgatan 7A, floor 2 & Microsoft Teams

Attending:

Ville Ruokonen, Frida Winberg, Emilia Öfverström, Pauliina Haarala, Sami Multisilta, Axel Anderson, Matilda Eriksson, Rebecca Laaksonen, Emilia Granqvist, Nicolina Massa and Emma Lindvall.

The meeting was opened at 10:00 by chairman Ruokonen

The following matters were addressed at the meeting:

  • The Board opens the position of student representative in the University Collegium (ordinary)
  • The Board opens the position for a student representative in the Departmental Council for Finance and Economics.
  • The Board has decided to give EC and IK a project grant for a joint event in Nuuksio.
  • The Board has chosen representatives for AYY’s annual party

  • Lunch meeting with HUS chairman regarding strategic views
  • Monitored the start of Ylonz at Casa

Axel Anderson

  • Held the third UU (The education committee) meeting of the year
  • Participated in the equality committee kickoff meeting at Hanken
  • Attended the Hanken AoLQ meeting, where feedback on bachelor’s and master’s programs was discussed
  • Met with interest group representatives and Kylli to plan a joint event, Feedback Forum, for May
  • Drafted an SHS position statement for government negotiations together with Emilia
  • Participated in an FSF information session on the new admission tables for 2026 and discussed SHS’s position on it
  • Continued planning for the main subject evening
  • Discussed follow-up on Hanken’s education quality with Emilia Donner and Ville
  • Met with the library staff and student representatives from IR for finance & mathematics to discuss important databases for students
  • Met with student representatives from Hanken’s board to discuss current decisions to be made at the Hanken board meeting.

Emilia Öfverström

  • Attended the board’s vappen meeting
  • Held the fourth IBU meeting of the year
  • Attended meeting about Feedback Forum (new event concept) with Frida, Axel and Kylli. 
  • Created some material for the Feedback Forum 
  • Wrote SHS draft on statement for government negotiations together with Axel.
  • Attended FSF admission process live and discussed SHS stance on that
  • Participated in the electionsector group live
  • Had a recap meeting on the equality policy document together with Frida.

Frida Winberg

  • Participated in meeting on Feedback Forum (new event concept) with the advocacy team and Kylli. 
  • Created facebook event for Feedback Forum 
  • Had recap meeting on the equality plan together with Emilia.
  • Continued revision work on the equality steering document.
  • Contact my counterpart in Vaasa regarding more regular recap meeting, and had our first whatsapp meeting.
  • Contact the equality and harassment ombudsmen in Vaasa to get their opinion on our work role
  • Had our third sopo meeting where SHS participation in Pride started to be planned.
  • Had a visit from Folkhälsan where we together with the Sopo committee discussed volunteer activities.
  • Created an instagram for the SupportStudents, and presented some of them there.
  • Had a meeting with Hanken about the revision of their gender equality plan.
  • Had a meeting with the board about Vappen
  • Planned collaboration between SHS and StudOrg during pride, together with Beccy and a representative from StudOrg.
  • Represented at PorKy’s 20th anniversary party with Beccy.

Pauliina Haarala

  • Meeting with Grant Thornton about potential partnership
  • Participated in the boards vappenmeeting
  • Participated in Education Committees meeting
  • Coordinating with BearingPoint and SSHV for the excursion
  • Sponsormeeting with Kylli for Vappen
  • Sponsorship seeking for Vappen

Rebecca Laaksonen

  • Delegated Vappen tasks to the board

  • Pride planning with Frida and StudOrg
  • Preparatory meeting for rector’s lunch
  • Participated in the rector’s lunch with KO and SSHV president
  • Coordinated and participated in a meeting to develop the position of international and master students in SHS.
  • Designed material for Hauis Amanda
  • Represented at PorKY’s annual party and silliz with Frida.
  • Coordinated with the Casa 50 group
  • Coordinated meeting with new elected representatives

  • Discussed the intro week for MSc with Hanken

Sami Multisilta

  • Updated SHS.fi and introduced a feedback form that is easily accessible on the website together with the event calendar.

  • Published SHS Vappen Facebook events and promoted on instagram.
  • Planned and published material on shsmoments.
