Summary of the Executive Board’s meeting 13/2023

Place: SEB- Sanduddsgatan 7A, floor 2 & Microsoft Teams

Ville Ruokonen, Frida Winberg, Emilia Öfverström, Pauliina Haarala, Sami Multisilta, Axel Anderson, Matilda Eriksson, Rebecca Laaksonen and Emilia Granqvist

The meeting was opened at 10:00 by chairman Ruokonen

Notification matters:

  • The Board had a great time at Pampas

The following matters were addressed at the meeting:

  • Approved the Board’s proposal 2/2023 and 3/2023 to the Student Council for consideration.
  • Appointed a proposal for a student representative (deputy) to the University Council from Vaasa. The Student Council makes the final decision.
  • Decision on the annual ball invitation to the Åland Student Association in Helsinki r.f.
  • Decision on a special permit for Casa Nostra

Activities

Common

  • The board visited Vaasa as SSHV’s guest during Pampas week
  • Strategy day vol 5 with the theme of Vappen, translation of the minutes of the board’s meetings and follow-up of the implementation plan
  • Met other top boards and had a local crawl
  • Followed up the equality survey
  • Discussed how the content from the Nordic Forum should be implemented in the student union

Ville Ruokonen

  • Sick leave due to surgery 
  • Meeting together with Beccy with Lunda Economists
  • Planning for SHSUF’s spring meeting with Emmi
  • GDPR meeting together with Beccy and Mati
  • Quarterly talks with various board members
  • Meeting together with SSHV with Hanken regarding study plan and teaching plan period change in Sisu
  • Möte med Ekonsek inför budgetuppföljningen
  • Meeting with Beccy about recap of the Nordic Forum and the previous weeks

Axel Anderson

  • Meeting with SSHV and Ville regarding changes to study and teaching periods in Sisu.
  • Participated in Engage.eu (Board of learners) onboarding meeting with Beccy.
  • Had a lunch meeting with part of the HaBa working group.
  • Follow-up meeting with Ville.
  • Started planning major subject evening

Emilia Öfverström

  • Completed the first draft of the sustainability strategy
  • Worked on the equality policy document
  • Made a post on the elections
  • Started translation job for WSC – their election promises – to be implemented during government negotiations

Frida Winberg

  • Continued the revision of the equality policy document and the equality plan
  • Follow up meeting with Ville
  • Familiarized myself with the Hanken gender equality & equal treatment policy
  • Presented the result of the equality survey to the Board

Pauliina Haarala

  • Coordinated the excursion with BearingPoint and SSHV.
  • Coordinated meetings with two potential new partners for the Union
  • Planning for the Hanken Network Day

Rebecca Laaksonen

  • Last week as “President” 
  • Created a new calendar system for SHS events + a new way for elected and active members to fill in the calendar.
  • Planned the Vappen Guide 2023 together with Matilda.
  • Planned the marketing Vappen together with Matilda.
  • Planned elements in the Board’s strategy day
  • Planned the Board’s activities for Vappen together with the Board.
  • Planned WappenGrillis with TF etc.
  • Planned the promotion of AYY’s lakitus with AYY.
  • Hosted a tour of Casa with Sami for the Ylonz organisers. 
  • Cleaned the union with Sami
  • GDPR meeting with Ville and Matilda
  • Engage.eu Board of Learners meeting with Axel

Sami Multisilta

  • Been on vacation
  • Coordinated bookings
  • Casa tour for ylonz organizers
  • Ordered fixing of the garage door
  • Ordered garbage removal

Matilda Eriksson

  • GDPR meeting with Ville and Beccy
  • Posted and made some material for shsmoments (including an April Fool’s joke) 
  • Started fixing on vappen material
  • Started making the april- newsletter
