Official Announcement: Student Council Elections 2025

The Central Election Committee (CVN) of the Student Union of Hanken School of Economics hereby announces the 2025 Student Council Elections. The elections will be conducted electronically.

Election Procedure

  • Voting period: Friday, 10 October 2025 at 12:00 (noon) – Friday, 17 October 2025 at 12:00 (noon)
  • Location: The election will take place electronically and simultaneously for members in Helsinki and Vaasa.
  • Each eligible member will receive a personal voting link to their registered Hanken email on the first day of the election.

Candidate Registration

  • Opens: Monday, 8 September 2025 
  • Closes: Friday, 19 September 2025 at 16:00
  • Candidate lists must include the candidate’s surname, all first names, and a signed declaration of eligibility witnessed by two persons (signatures may be electronic if necessary).
  • Completed candidate lists must be submitted electronically in PDF format to the Central Election Committee by uploading the file through the official candidate sign-up form, no later than Friday, 19 September 2025 at 16:00.

Electoral Alliances

  • Candidates wishing to form an electoral alliance must submit a written agreement, including the names of all candidates and the alliance’s representative, no later than Friday, 26 September 2025 at 16:00.
  • The final compilation of all approved candidate lists and electoral alliances will be published on the Student Union’s official website no later than Tuesday, 30 September 2025.

Electoral Register

  • Members may check their eligibility during the inspection period (10 September – 3 October 2025).
  • Correction requests must be submitted to the Central Election Committee or the General Secretary no later than Friday, 3 October 2025. Requests will be answered within two (2) working days.

  • Candidates and electoral alliances are reminded that election advertising is not permitted on the Student Union’s official notice boards.
