Suomen Hypoteekkiyhdistys, or Hypo as it is more commonly known, is looking for an experienced financial administration specialist to take on a variety of tasks in the accounting department of the Hypo Group.
As the Chief Accountant, your role will focus on the Hypo Group’s accounting, ensuring the accuracy of records, preparing financial statements and producing interim reports and other financial reporting materials. You will also be responsible for the Group’s IFRS reporting, in addition to preparing corporate tax returns and other regulatory reports. You will also prepare the accounting and financial statements of a real estate fund not belonging to the Hypo group. As Chief Accountant, you will also be involved in the maintenance and development of business reporting structures and internal development projects as required. You will also have the opportunity to tailor your responsibilities based on your interests, previous experience and skills.

We expect the person we are looking for to:
- Several years of experience in financial management, with a focus on corporate accounting and bookkeeping
- Experience in preparing IFRS and FAS financial statements.
- Interest in and ability to follow banking and financial regulation.
- Knowledge of financial management and Microsoft systems (e.g. Dynamics and Excel)
- Thorough and accurate work ethic and excellent documentation skills
- Adaptability, flexibility and good collaboration skills
- Finnish and English language skills
It is also an advantage to have:
- Ability to apply legislative changes and regulatory changes in the financial management domain in practice
- Experience in the development of financial management systems and working practices

Practical issues:
In this permanent, full-time position, you will be employed directly as an employee of Suomen Hypoteekkiyhdistys. The position is based in Helsinki at Hypo House in Yrjönkatu, and we would like you to have the opportunity to work in the office as part of a flexible hybrid model. The salary for the position will be negotiated on a candidate by candidate basis.
