SEB LC&FI Summer Internship 2022 – Equity Sales and Trade Finance Client Services at SEB in Helsinki

SEB’s division Large Corporates and Financial Institutions (LC&FI) offers talented students an exciting opportunity to work with banking and finance for a few intense summer months. As an intern, you will be involved in our daily business activities and have a great opportunity to learn about banking and gain a thorough understanding of SEB’s business in Finland and abroad. We have two positions in Finland for the summer 2022: Equity Sales and Trade Finance Client Services. What you will be doing
Equity Sales: The product area to work with includes Nordic equities, more specifically sales and execution. The main responsibilities of an intern include writing SEB Equities’ morning comments to Finnish clients and daily sales and sales trading tasks. Tasks may also include commenting and analysing company events, such as quarterly results, takeovers and IPOs, conducting stock screenings and selection or preparing cross-asset sales presentations together with colleagues from different product teams.
Trade Finance Client Services: Trade Finance Client Services is a part of Transactions Services, within SEB and the division Large Corporate & Financial Institutions. We are looking for a Summer Intern to support the team in the everyday tasks and ongoing projects. Trade Finance Client Services consist of an ambitious and professionaltrade finance experts and team is offering a highest level of trade finance services in export and import to our large corporate clients. In this position intern will have an opportunity to experience how we advise and serve our clients in their export business. Intern will also learn to understand trade finance products and the international rules behind the products. Intern will support the team in the everyday tasks and ongoing projects.
Who we are looking for
Equity Sales: Are you interested in investments, specifically in equities? Perhaps you have solid personal track record in trading in shares already and understand the related dynamics? Do you have an insanely strong attention to detail and communicate fluently in Finnish and English? Can you handle three phone calls and seven chat windows at the same time? When things don’t go the way you want, can you keep your cool? Can you put our clients’ interests ahead of yours? If the answer to these is yes, please apply for a role in the number one institutional equities team in town – the best “learning by doing” environment there is!
Trade Finance Client Services: To succeed in your role, we expect you to be interested in foreign trade and trade finance. We also appreciate good communication and collaboration skills with a positive and proactive can-do-attitude. You work well in a team, as well as independently and you can prioritize the daily work in a
structured way. You can be a student at a university or a university of applied sciences. We wish that you are fluent in both spoken and written English and Finnish. Experience from trade finance is an advantage.
